Creative Reflections
Today: thoughts on choosing a fresh start
“…you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call “failure” is not the falling down, but the staying down.”
The quote is from a column written by Mary Pickford in the St. Petersburg Times, January 25, 1936
When do you choose to have a fresh start?
Is it after a show closes
Maybe it is after hearing “we’ll call you”
Perhaps it is while recovering from surgery
Could it be once a year on your birthday
Possibly it is every morning when you wake up
What is one action step you can take today to give yourself a fresh start?
Could you –
- Revamp some of the items in your wardrobe
- Commit to taking a walk once a week
- Begin keeping a daily record of what you are grateful for
- Say yes to going to yet another audition
- Give yourself a pep talk
- Find a new dance instructor
- Commend yourself for staying sober one more day
- Plan a trip
Tell me about your fresh start moments.
